The largest continent on the planet is a joy to travel. Most associate it with the balmy beaches of Southeast Asia. Thailand – soy-scented, noodle-sizzling, always-smiling Thailand – has some of the best going, but so too does the Philippines (ah, wonderful Palawan) and the Maldives (atolls aplenty!). Meanwhile, India beckons with frenetic megacities like Mumbai, followed by ancient jungles home to Bengal beasts. Up high is the superlative, Everest itself. Down low, the reefs of Sri Lanka come with rolling surf breaks, while northern Asia boasts Japan’s snow-touched volcanoes and the rolling Kazakh steppes.
