Africa

Wild Africa straddles the Northern and Southern Hemispheres as it rolls a whopping 5,000 miles from tip to toe. It’s a mosaic of natural wonders like you’ve never seen. Gorillas and chimpanzees swing through the boughs of the mist-swathed Congo Rainforest. That gives way to the East Africa Rift, a safari mecca where lions stalk zebra and hulking elephant herds move slowly across a sun-scorched horizon. Human history stands out starkly, what with the mysterious Pyramids of Giza rubbing shoulders with the rock-cut churches of Lalibela in Ethiopia. And there are still lands untrodden by traveler’s shoes; frontiers waiting to be crossed.
